Sreenija writes a letter to the Principal Secretary requesting that the Preventive Detention Act not be imposed on her husband, Sai Kumar. She explains that Sai Kumar has been arrested multiple times based on false complaints filed by his relative Krishna Rao in an attempt to seize her grandfather-in-law's land. Imposing the act would financially devastate Sreenija's family, which includes her elderly mother-in-law and sister-in-law as well as her young daughters, as Sai Kumar is the sole breadwinner. She assures that Sai Kumar will cooperate fully with legal proceedings to prove his innocence.

Principal Secretary – Home Government of Telangana Hyderabad, TS.
Sub: Imposing of Preventive Detention Act against my husband
P.Sai Kumar.
Dear Sir,
I, Polkumpally Sreenija, W/o Sai Kumar, Age:28 years,
R/o # G-1, Satya Sai Towers, Meerpet, Hyderabad would like to submit the following for your kind consideration.
That in the month of December, 2020i, i.e., on 8/12/2020, my
husband Polkumpally Sai Kumar was summoned to Meerpet Police Station, and after going to Police Station, he was informed that a case has been registered against him for the offences U/s 420, 468, 465,471,473 of IPC and U/s 15(3) of Indian Medical Council Act – 1956, in Crime No.871/2020. The Meerpet Police have arrested my husband on 8/12/2020, and produced before Hon’ble Magistrate, Ranga Reddy Courts, and in turn, Hon’ble Court sent him for judicial remand. My husband was released on bail in the above Crime i.e., Crime No.871/2020 on 22/12/2020. He was released from Central Prison, Cherlapally on 23/12/2020. Immediately after his release from prison on 23/12/2020, the Police, LB Nagar have arrested my husband and informed him that two case are registered against him vide Crime No.1512/2020 for the offences U/s 304(2), 336, 384 and 430 R/w Section 34 of IPC and Crime No.1540/2020 for the offence under section 420 of Indian Penal Code. Again, my husband was sent to judicial remand on 23/12/2020 and enlarged on bail 25/02/2021. Hon’ble Courts while granting bail in the above crimes, have imposed certain conditions and as a law- abiding citizen, my husband has strictly followed the same. Further I would like to inform you that my husband’s maternal grandfather Mr.Pandu Ranga Rao, who is 95 years old has some lands in Sanga Reddy and Medak District. My husband’s maternal grandfather’s younger brother’s son one Mr. Rayarao Krishna Rao has hatched a plan to grab those properties, taking advantage of old age and partial blindness and hearing impairment of said Pandu Ranga Rao. Rayarao Krishna Rao hatched a plan to grab the properties of Sri Pandu Ranga Rao with the help of anti-social elements and political leaders. As the malicious intention of grabbing the lands of my husband’s maternal grandfather by said Krishna Rao, my husband and other family members have tried to resist the same and tried to protect the properties in legal manner. Since my husband and other family members are opposing the illegal and immoral acts of grabbing the land of said Pandu Ranga Rao by Rayarao Krishna Rao, he bore grudge against us and filed false complaints against my husband by levelling false, frivolous allegations against me, as a result I had to spend 3 months in jail. I am suffering from severe heart disease and I am in immediate need of Cardiac and Knee surgeries.
My father-in-law expired in the year 2009. My husband has old
aged mother, un married sister, wife and two daughters namely Baby Sai Snigdha – 3 years and Baby Dakshayani – 3 months depending on him. I gave birth to our second daughter Baby Dakshayani, when my husband was in judicial remand in Central Prison, Cherlapally. Till date my husband has not seen my younger daughter due to above mental tensions and health conditions. Our family elders and well-wishers tried to convince said Krishna Rao, not to ruin the life of my husband, as helpless mother, sister, wife and two small kids are depending on him. But surprisingly said Rayarao Krishna Rao disclosed that some politicians and others are involved in land matters, and threatened me with dire consequences. All the above-mentioned cases registered against my husband are pending for investigation by concerned police authorities.
As the things stood so, on 20/04/2021, when my husband was on
his way to Tirupati to have darshan, some un identified persons claiming to be Police Constables from Meerpet Police Station have come to our house and enquired about my husband, not only in our flat, but also in other flats of our apartment. When questioned by my sister-in-law, said persons have disclosed her that they came to take my husband to Meerpet Police Station, since Preventive Detention Act was imposed against my husband. My sister-in-law informed them that my husband is in Tirupati and will come back on 25/04/2021.
In this connection I would request you kindly to take necessary
action and revoke the detention orders if any imposed under PD Act against my husband, since my husband don’t have any criminal antecedents, never involved in any illegal, anti- social or any other offences. Imposing PD Act and detention will cause heavy damage to my family, since my old aged mother- in-law (suffering from different ailments), un married sister- in-law, who is also suffering from severe health disorders, myself and two small kids are depending on my husband. If PD Act is imposed and my husband is sent to jail, my entire family will suffer as, my husband is the only bread winner of my family. I further assure you that my husband will co-operate with the prosecution in effective investigation and trial, and I am confident that he can prove his innocence in the court of law.
I therefore request you to kindly to stop the proceedings under
Preventive Detention Act, keeping in view of the above facts and circumstances. Thanking you sir, in anticipation of fruitful orders.
