Learn YOU MUST KNOW…

Human senses are regarded as the primary source of knowledge. Hence, for one
to come up with a really great deal of literary piece, it is necessary to release his fear
of sharing his innermost thoughts and feelings. The body, the emotions, the mind
and the soul must be aligned and should work together in developing a worthwhile.
To acquire this ability, creative writers starts with this simple technique.

Look at these statements.

1. the lady loves to wear flashy girly-girl colors
2. his hands are rough as sandpaper
3. withered facial expression
4. a steel-like confidence to his teammates
5. a house full of annoying souls
What have you notice? How were the words being described?...
Let’s have another example:

1. It was dark and dim in the forest.

2. The children were screaming and shouting in the fields.
3. He whiffed the aroma of brewed coffee.
4. The girl ran her hands on a soft satin fabric.
5. The fresh and juicy orange is very cold and sweet.
Did you notice something?
Are you familiar with figures of speech?
And this…

He usurped the throne.

The word “USURP” means to seize and hold by force without legal right.
However, not all readers may know that. Bear in mind to use simple word when a
simple word will do.
Instead, WRITE:
He seized the throne.

Now, you have an idea how a creative writer ended with a creative literary piece
using imagery, figures of speech and diction respectively.

Learn YOU MUST KNOW…

The five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste, need to be employed by
the writers to engage a reader’s interest. If one wants writing to jump off the page,
then he must bring readers into the world the writer is creating. If one wants to
describe past events or unforgettable experiences, try and remember what was saw,
heard, touched, smelled, and tasted, then incorporate those things into writing and can
ensure that you will come up with the best output.
