Part 2
Analysis:

With this memory test, I am looking forward to finding out if genre can determine how
good someone’s memory is. In this case we made four girls and four boys do a
memory test and afterwards compare their results on a graphic or table. The results
of the study have shown that male tend to have better results in the test than
females do in most of the cases. The highest result obtained was done by a boy who
got 5 answers out of 6 correctly. And the lowest one was done by a girl. My data
shows that genre does affect how good someone's memory is and in this case boys
averaged a better number of correct results than girls. Males had an average of 4
and females had an average of 3.25.

Conclusion:

After taking a closer look at results I can tell that the genre of a person can
determine how good their memory really is when it is measured in this test. When
the hostage was a boy, the results turned out tobe higher than when the hostage
was a girl. This conclusion can be supported by these results when looking at the
average number of right answers that each genre got, boys got a total average of 4
results correctly out of 6 while girls got a total average of 3.25. Also the best result
gotten in this test was done by a boy getting a total of 5 answers correct out of 6.
Furthermore, the worst result gotten was done by a girl, getting 2 results out of 6
correctly. Taking a look at my hypothesis and at the results it is easy to tell that I was
wrong from the beginning. I predicted that the females were the ones who were
going to get the higher results in the survey, however it turned out to be all the way
around. In the results, the boys had outstanding results over the girls. Only the fact
that boys had a higher average of right answers proves that they had the outstanding
results. After some research I found that what determines how good is someone’s
memory is the neurotransmitter dopamine. Having a greater density of dopamine
receptors in the hippocampus results in better episodic memory, and I deduct that
the males in general have a greater density of dopamine than females.

Evaluation:

After analysing all my data, I can confirm that I had enough data to answer my
hypothesis. I have checked my data several times. At this point I would say that it is
about 90% reliable. In the data obtained there is a noticeable difference between the
groups used. However, I don’t think it is enough to say there is a big difference
between the results each group got. In the graph, the data is well positioned and it
looks like a reliable graph. You can easily understand the graph and it is very visual.
