So what is the enemy? Every year, the Chair of the Committee releases the Bar
Syllabus (get the facts).

This year, the chairman is Justice Leonen.

In 2018 Bar, it was the first time they adopted the two-examiner per subjects.

life.

1. Get sleep the night before. Force yourself to sleep. You need to be alert
when reading and answering Bar questions. If it seems you can’t get to
sleep, then try this trick: For dinner, eat an extra large meal fit for two or
three people – you will get sleepy after that.
2. Eat a heavy breakfast full of protein for alertness but low on carbs; eat a
sparse lunch, of just one large banana for stamina and dark chocolate with
almonds for alertness; and have an early dinner right after the afternoon
Bar exams because you’ll be very hungry by then.

A lot of it is recalling stock knowledge of basic principles which ought to have


been learned in law school and which cannot be learned in five months of
review. If you can’t remember it the day before, you won’t be able to remember
it on Sunday, so don’t bother; try instead to cite a constitutional provision or
principle or a codal provision to support your answer. You can never go wrong
with that.

reasoning, written in readable English and more importantly, justified by

just reading. You must supplement reading by ACTUAL practice in answer
framing.

The high mortality rate in the bar examination is traceable to the sole or over-
reliance on passive study and the absence or lack of training and practice on bar
strategies and tactics.

Thus, it may be proper to remind the bar candidates some of the myths involved
in the domain of bar examinations. Almost invariably the bar candidates have
the mistaken belief that by.. (1) attending the best law schools, (2) listening to
lectures of renowned bar reviewers during review classes, and (3) memorizing
the law or the rules of procedure, including doctrinal rulings will guarantee his
pasing the bar examinations. WRONG.

There is no question that the above circumstances will help to enable the bar
candidate pass the bar examinations.
