Learning Task 6:

Experiential and Situated Learning and Reflective Learning

As theorized by Lave and Wager, experiential land situated learning is learning int he same

context on which concept and theories are applied. Some of the examples are asking students to record

the time it takes them to travel from home to school in minutes for one week. Another one is counting

the words being said in your favorite cartoons and how long is the cartoon in minutes. From these

learnings, I tried to execute a situation where I'll tell my girlfriend an important message with 50 words

and see how much time it will requires me to tell it to her. I used the messenger app to communicate

with my girlfriend and tell her the message that I created with exact 50 words. After that, I recorded

how I typed the message to her. This would mean that if there are 50 words in that certain message,

therefore, every word will take 2.24 seconds to execute (it depends on the word and how fast you click

the letters). This is the result of one of the situated learning that I did. I make a video out of the

messages I created for my girlfriend, then I sent it to our adviser as a completion of the 5 th learning task

that was assigned to us.
