Daytona Plus – Software Upgrade, May 2016

Technical Bulletin No.: RXTB-0050 Issue Date: 16 May 2016

Affected Analysers: Daytona Plus
Importance: HIGH
Items Required: None
• 2550642104.zip,
Specialist Tools/Software:
• Microsoft Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 Pro (32 Bit only)
Software Update Required: YES

Purpose:
To notify End Users of Daytona Plus analysers of a series of software upgrades introduced to correct
operational issues and bring enhanced functionality.

Upgrades:
1. The Database Engine has been changed to the more stable SQL Server R2 2008; this will
minimize the risk of corruption of the database and resulting software errors.
2. A correction to the application of a normal range to results that occurred under the following
conditions:

The selection of Human Auto facilitates the application of several reference ranges within
a single test. When a normal range other than Human Auto is selected on the Run(F5) >
Test Selection screen for one sample and Human Auto is then selected for subsequent
samples, the normal range applied to the first range is being applied to all samples despite
[Human Auto] being displayed for the samples.

3. The software has been updated to allow the deselection of tests from the test selection
menu under the following conditions:
If the test order was saved prior to Reagent Container Unit (RCU) scan and the reagent
bottles for the selected test are found to be empty after the scan, the software has been
changed to be able to deselect those tests from the test selection screen.
4. Correction in the calculation of the running mean in QC settings in the X-R mode.
Currently the running mean is being calculated over the total number of QC tested, the
running mean calculation will now be based on the number entered in the ‘No.’ field when
‘X-R’ mode is used for QC settings.

Implementation:
1. End Users should contact a local Service provider to arrange for this upgrade to be done.
2. Local Service provider should contact Randox Technical Services to obtain the software and
instructions for this upgrade.
