Anthropometric and Fitness Testing Result Sheet
The Beaconhouse School System provides Anthropometric and Fitness Test results to students and parents.
These results are an indication of how well your child is growing in comparison with other children of the
same age throughout Asia. These are a guide and are only for information purposes. Should you need
clarification on the result, please feel free to get in touch with your child`s PE & Sports teacher at school.
Anthropometric is the science which deals witi the measurement and proportions of height & weight of the
human body. Physical fitness is defined as the ability to carry out daily tasks with vigour, alertness and
without undue fatigue to meet unusual situations and unforeseen emergencies. The test carried out at
Beaconhouse School System is the standardized test that is carried out internationally in many schools.

The Anthropometric Test refers to the measurement of the human body and is used in conjunction with the
Fitness Test to determine how your child is developing physically. The tests are indicative of the progress
your child is making in their physical development. Regular physical exercise is known to have a beneficial
effect on health. Realizing fact that diseases are related to a lack of physical fitness, there is a need to
counteract sedentary lifestyle with planned physical activity through sports and formal exercise. The tests
carried out Beaconhouse give a good all-round picture of your child`s fitness level and identify areas where
there can be improvement. We, at BSS are determined that our students should fully understand the benefits
of adopting formal exercise, good dietary and nutritional habits. We would like you to view the weekly food
guide provided and discuss the benefits of healthy eating with your children.
