1. Consider the data about the weekly allowance and weight (kg) of 16 students above, calculate the standard

3. A random variable X is normally distributed with a mean of 25 and variance 2.25, calculate the following
probabilities. [5 points each]
a. 𝑃(𝑋 < 27)
b. 𝑃(22 < 𝑋 < 29)

4. An organization for people with high IQ, and eligibility requires an IQ above 131.5. Suppose the IQ scores are
normally distributed with a mean of 102.5 and standard deviation of 16.1. If someone wants to join the
organization, what is the probability that he or she meets the organization’s requirement? [5 points]
