I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

A. explain and define what is phobias and fears

B. share their fears or phobias to their classmate

C. create and design their own “comfort box”

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

III. PROCEDURE:

A. REVIEW

Mechanics:
1. Draw an endangered animal that you know and write down why it is
endangered
2. After that the teacher will call the students one by one to present their
works in front of the class
3. The students will going to explain why the animal they draw is
endangered animal

B. MOTIVATION

 Coloring Materials Eraser
Mechanics:
1. The students will going to draw a thing that they are afraid of
2. Then the students will volunteer to present their work and they will why
the they afraid of it
3. After that the teacher and their classmates will giving them a
motivational or advice message to overcome their fear

C. PRESENTATION

Fear is a human emotion that is triggered by a perceived threat.


Example the boy is afraid in clowns so as he grows and learn more things, he
can slowly overcome his fear because he learn that clowns are funny and makes
everyone happy.

Phobia is a type of anxiety disorder defined by a persistent and excessive fear of an


object or situation.
Example, the girl has a Astraphobia (fear of thunder or lightning), so when she
will going sleep and hear the sound of thunder she is extremely afraid, the reason why
people have a phobia because of their past and scary experiences.

Common Types of fear or phobias


1. Acrophobia (fear of heights)

2. Aerophobia (fear of flying)

3. Arachnophobia (fear of spiders)

4. Astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning)


5. Autophobia (fear of being alone)

6. Claustrophobia (fear of confined or crowded spaces)

7. Hemophobia (fear of blood)

8. Hydrophobia (fear of water

9. Ophidiophobia (fear of snakes)

10. Zoophobia (fear of animals)


The students will going to share some scary situation that they experienced

Hopes and Fears tree
Materials
 Construction Paper (Green, Brown and a variety of other)
 Scissors
 Glue
 Pencil
 Eraser

Mechanics:
1. The students will create a “Hopes and Fears tree” by following the 6
steps
Step 1: Cut an oval shape using brown construction paper
Step 2: Make a tree with branches out using green construction paper
Step 3: Pick any light color paper and cut it like a worm and glue those on the dirt
around the bottom of the tree
Step 4: Write a things that you are afraid of
Step 5: Pick any bright color paper and cut it like a leaves and glue those to the
branches of tree
Step 6: Write your hopes on the leaves

2. After that the students will present their work in front of the class
