How to install the XP system of Chemray 120

Part 1 Create a DOS startup disk


1. Insert the USB disk into computer
2. Please open the “New HP_U disk create” folder and then Double-click the HPUSBFW.EXE,
the Format tool will recognize the disk automatically.

3. Choose the option "Create a DOS startup disk" in the Format Options, check the option
"using DOS system files located at:" box, and then browse to the “New HP_U disk create”
folder.
4. Please click “Start”, then it will appear a message as below, please select” Yes” to continue.

5. Then it will appear message as below, please click “Ok” and close the tool to finish the disk
create.
6. Then please copy the Windows XP system “ WINXP” and software “Analyzer” into
disk.

Part 2 install the XP system


1. Insert the USB disk into the machine’s USB port and turn on the instrument, please press
“Del” continually at once, then you will enter BIOS. Move to “Boot” -> select “ Hard Disk
Drives” ->press “Enter” to set ”1st Drive” -> select ”USB” ->press “Enter” and click “F10” to
save and exit. The instrument will restart.

2. After the instrument restarts, the command interface as Figure 3 will appear.

Type command “cd WINXP” and press “Enter”, then the command line “C:\WINXPOSN>”
occurs. Continue to type command “setupex” and press “Enter”, the installation will begin
and a progress bar will be shown as Figure 4

3. After the progress bar appeared 100%, command interface appears again. Please press
“Ctrl” + “Alt” + “Del” to restart the instrument and use the same method (press “Del”
continually at once) to enter the BIOS.

4. Move to “Boot” -> select “ Hard Disk Drives” ->press “Enter” to set ”1st Drive” -> select
”CF card” ->press “Enter” and click “F10” to save and exit. The instrument will restart again.

5. When the instrument restarts, the Windows XP system upgrade is finished.

Part 3 After the instrument restarts again, a message is possible occur (refer to

Figure 7).

When this message display, click “No” to avoid the restart. And then restart the FBWF System
Console. The detailed procedure is below.
1. After enter the main interface, please press “Ctrl” + “Alt” + “Del” to enter “task manager” ,
click “New task”, and select “Explore”, then you can enter the “My computer”. Enter the “C
disk”, double click the “FBWF” System Console icon in C disk, type in the password “1008”
and click the button marked in Figure to enter the console.

3. Click the button marked in Figure 9 to close the console, a pop-up window will appear,
just click “OK”. For the system setting will work after restart the system, restart the
instrument by clicking the button marked in Figure 14.

4. After instrument restarts, enter the explorer again and open FBWF System Console, Click
the button marked in Figure 10 to start the console, click “OK” in the pop-up window, then
click the button marked in Figure 10 to restart the instrument.

When the instrument restarts, the restart message has been solved. The XP system installing
is finished.
