HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK

DAY 1: The SACC Management gave Orientation for fieldwork trainee
The management allowed to obseeved the patients
The fieldwork trainee gave ideas to the organisation to conduct the activities for patients.
The SACC managing director came to the organisation for met the fieldwork trainee.
DAY 2 :To attended the session about to create a inside and Mashlow’s need based Theory.
DAY 3 : fieldwork trainee Listen the Lecture about Relapse Prevention Plan , responsibility of life&
Group activity signal Game.
DAY 4: The fieldwork trainee Refer the case study and listening lecture about desire.
DAY 5 : The Field work trainee had interviewing the patient for trial case study.

The fieldwork trainee to do the trial case study as a counsellor instructed.
ABOUT TRIAL CASE STUDY:
Age: 22
Education qualification: B.sc(hotel management)
Job: chef
remarks: using cannabis and liquor
At the age of 17 he was started to using cannabis and occassionally he has take the
liquor but he has not preferred liquor he was continusly take cannabis. In every day he has to
take half packet of cannabis. He was studied in SRM university that time he was going to
trainning in Goa after the trainning over he has selectetd the same hotel and continue their work
in that hotel. He got a salary around 45,000. After the 3 and half years completed his parents
found out using the cannabis after that he has faced a lot of problems in familly, societal and love
life. He was falled in love after that his partner told don’t using the cannabis but he can’t stop
them so she was left him after that he was very depressed so he continued using the cannabis. He
has affected one physical problem i.e stroke. He was suddenly affected form stroke and then he
was admiited the hospital one month after the recovery in stroke again he continued to using the
cannabis. Now he’s rectify the all those mistakes. He was very confident to say hereafter he din’t
using alcohol and drugs. He was rectify themselves.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OF WEEK ONE:

Trainee learnt about principle of acceptance and confidentality
Trainee learnt about importance of observing
Trainee learnt about stress management

SUMMARY OF DAILY ACTIVITES:

In first day the organisation management gave orientation to fieldwork trainee. The
psychiatric counsellor gave lecture about alcoholic and drug addictions then he explain about
treatment of alcoholic and drug addiction then he explained the various types of addictioners in
this organisation and he disclose about the rules ang regulation of the organisation. The
psychiatric counsellor handled the session about A NEW LIFE. Every patients are interacted
very well. They are quickly responded to counsellor questions then they are ask quesstion to
counsellor after the sesssion over and then the counsellor has clarified the doubt also. The family
counsellor conducted the group activity. Every patients are actively participated outcome of this
group activity is cooperation.
In second day the peer counsellor has taken the session about maslow’s need based
theory. This theory has correlated to the patients life because they are alcoholic and drug
addictions they are lose something and not satisfied in their life they can’t accept that so they are
addicted the alcoholic and drugs. When a basic need is satisfied we begin to seek higher order
needs.
In third day the senior counsellor has handled the session about RELAPSE
PREVENTION PLAN. Relapse happens in three stages as every individual. The psychiatric
counsellor has conduct theactivity to patients i.e “signal game” that activity is to overcome the
observation level of patients.
 In fourth day the psychiatric counsellor taken the session about “DESIRE”. This session was
very interacted every patients are shared the desire in their life.
In fifth day the fieldwork trainee discussed about case study with psychiatric counsellor then the
fieldwork trainee met the patient for trisal case study this case study describe the drug
addicts.then the fieldwork trainee know about the bipolar disorder patients in organisation then
we discussed about that patients.
CONCLUSION:
As a fieldwork trainee observed the organisation and patient then the fieldwork trainee
know about the various types of patients in disorders. During this week as a field work trainee
has learnt to many new things through the organisation.
