Subject: Science Reg No:16SDU00339

Class: 7th

Topic: Ecosystem lesson:01

General Objectives:
• To improve the knowledge of
students.
• To understanding the ecosystem.
• To know about environment.
Specific Objectives:

• Ecosystem
• Abiotic components
• Biotic components
Teaching method:

Lecture Method
AV Aids:
Text book ,White board ,Marker , blackboard, chalk etc.
Previous Knowledge:
You have studied that the community of living organisms (biotic component) interacts with
non-living environment for food, shelter and protection.

Announcement of the Topic:

Today we shall study about ecosystem.

Introduction:
The interaction of community with non -living environment (abiotic factor) in a
particular area for survival is called ecosystem.

Presentation:

Let us explore different types of ecosystem and interaction present in them.

First I shall explain the ecosystem. After that i shall explain abiotic components and biotic
components.
Review:

Summary :

• When organisms (biotic factor) interact with non living things (abiotic factor) in an
environment they form ecological system or ecosystem.
• Natural home of an organism where it lives and reproduces is its habitat.
• Plants and animals adapt to live in a particular place.
• Light intensity, temperature, water, droughts, floods, earthquakes, etc. are the
factors that can bring changes in a habitat.
• Human beings are also bringing changes by polluting the environment.
• Green plants produce food through photosynthesis, therefore they are called
producers. Animals eat plants so they are consumers.
• The feeding relationship among organisms is called a food chain.
• Food chain always begin with a producer, which produce food in the presence of
sunlight.
• In an ecosystem several food chains overlap to form a network called food web
Home Work:

Write your observations in your exercise book. Consider the

following questions for investigation.

Questions for discussion:

What does these animals and plants eat?

Does this place have more producers than the consumers?

How many food chains are present in this ecosystem?

Did you observe any decomposer?

Draw a web of ecosystem make sure to include the sun.

Subject: Mathematics

Topic: Sets Lesson: 02

General Objectives:

• To improve the knowledge of Mathematic.

• Think analytically to solve different problems.

• Appreciate the benefits of Math.

Specific Objectives:

• Know about Sets.

• Reorganize notation of set.

• Singleton set.

• equivalent set.
Teaching method:

Lecture Method
AV Aids:
Text book ,White board ,Marker back board chak etc. Announcement of the Topic:

Today we shall study about Sets.

Introduction:

We often use some words in our daily life that represent a collection of things like dinner set,
sofa set, tea set, group of boys, a team of cricket , are used to denote collecting of things is called
set . A set is collection of ‘well defined’ and ‘distinct’ objects.

Presentation:

First I shall define Set. After that I shall explain recognize notation of set.

Then I shall explain finite and infinite set. After that I shall explain subset and super set.

Review:

1. Which of these sets are finite and which of these are infinite.

(i) A is Set of members of your family

(ii) B is Set of all even numbers

(iii) C is Set of prime factors of 60

(iv) D is Set of all multiples of 7 (v) E is Set of one-digit natural numbers

2. Which of the following are empty sets.

(i) L is Set of the names of days of a week which start with “S”.

(ii) F is Name of months of a year having 32 days.

(iii) M is Set of odd numbers exactly divisible by 2.

(iv) N is Set of prime numbers exactly divisible by 2.

Summative Evaluation:

• A set is a collection of well defined and distinct objects.

• Each object in a set is an element or member of the set.

• A set is described in two ways. (i) Precisely described in words.
(ii) All the elements are listed down separately.

• Finite set has limited number of elements.

• Infinite set has unlimited number of elements.

• A set having no element is an Empty or Null set.

• Two sets are equal if they have all same elements.

• Two sets are equivalent if they have same number of elements.

• B is subset of A if every element of B is also an element of A.

• A set having only one element is called singleton set.
