Our Panels/Bus-Ducts are tested and certified by Central Power Research Institute
(CPRI) Bhopal for the following characteristics.

1) Verification of Temperature rise limits as per Cl.8.2.1 of IS:8623 (Part-1),

1993.
2) Verification of the Short Circuit withstand strength as per C1.8.2.3 of
IS:8623 (Part-II), 1993.
Ÿ 50kArms for 1.0 second with initial peak of 105 kA on 3 Phases.
Ÿ 30kArms for 1.0 second with an initial peak of 63kA on nearest phase
bus bars.

3) Verification of the Short Circuit withstand strength as per C1.8.2.3 of

IS:8623 (Part-1), 1993.
Ÿ 50kArms for 1.0 second with initial peak of 105 kA .

4) Degree of Protection IP-54 as per IS:13947 (Part-1), 1993.

5) Degree of protection IP-55 as per IS:13947 (Part-I), 1993.

by CPRI Bhopal.

 SALIENT FEATURES
OF PANELS
DETAILS OF FABRICATION: After procuring the sheets from the
market and getting sheared as per requirement from local market. After this
the sheets are knocked, punched and bend as per the required dimensions.
Then these pieces are welded to form the Panel body. After this the welded
body is grinned with stone grinder and sender to smoothen the edges formed
during welding.
DETAILS OF PAINTING: After fabrication and before Powder Coating it
is subjected to chemical treatment for increasing the life of panel, which
improves the quality and finish of the panel. The chemical treatment is done
by way of seven-tank method to make the panel body rust free. Following
procedure is adopted for Anti Rusting and Phosphating treatment. In the first
tank the Panel is immersed in the Organic Solution for 15 minutes. This
makes the Panel surface free from grease and oil. After that the Panel is
rinsed with water in next tank. In the third tank the Panel is immersed in
Phosphoric Acid Solution for 15 minutes. This makes the Panel body rust
free. The Panel is again water rinsed in the fourth tank. In the fifth tank the
Panel is immersed in the solution of Zinc, Nickel & Calcium for 15 minutes.
This acts as an Anti Rusting agent and prevents the Oxidation of the Panel in
future.

After this the Panel is again water rinsed in tank no.6.In the seventh
tank the Panel is immersed in the solution of chromic acid for 5 minutes.
This solution develops a protective layer on the panel body to prevent it
from Dust and Oxidation till the body is not powder coated. The thickness of
Powder Coating is 50 microns (minimum).
SYSTEM: Rated voltage 415/440V, 3 phase, 4 wire, 50 Hz. Insulation
voltage: 2500V for 60 seconds.
BUS BAR: Electrolytic grade Aluminium/Copper bus bars insulated with
colored heat shrinkable PVC sleeves, duly supported on SMC/DMC molded
supports with anti tracking arrangement. The bus bar arrangement is in
accordance to the design approved by CPRI Bhopal during temperature rise
test as per CL: 8.2.1 of IS:8623 (Part-I), 1993 & Short circuit with stand
strength test as per CL: 8.2.3 of IS:8623 (Part-I), 1993.
WIRING: Copper flexible color-coded wire of 1.5/2.5 sq.mm. is used for
AC as well as DC circuits with proper ferrule numbers. The wire used is of
Havell’s/RR Kabel/Delton make, ISI marked and also Fire Retardant Grade
(FR).

Protection/Synchronizing relays of SEG & Controls.
