1 Overview

1.1 Usage Scale

This document defines the standard operation procedure (SOP) of ZXA10 C300M ADSL
service commissioning configuration.

1.2 Objective
This SOP is applicable to the debugging personnel engaged in fixed network ZXA10
C300M products.

1.3 Usage Method

SOP documents of fixed network products adopt the “SOP + operation guide + reference”
architecture.

1. SOP explains what needs to be done in which sequence in order to achieve a goal.

2. Operation guide explains how to perform the operation procedure, that is, how to do
in detail.

3. References are a supplement to SOP and operation guide.

Senior engineers can accomplish corresponding operations by referring to SOP

documents only; junior engineers need to refer to the operation guide and references.
The operation guide and references are defined in the input files of corresponding SOP
activities.

3 Description of Each Step

3.1 Preparing for ADSL Service Commissioning

As to hardware preparations, please refer to system debugging SOP. This step requires
the preparation of each data for ADSL service commissioning. The required data are as
follows.

1. VLAN planning: Plan the VLAN data for ADSL service.

2. PVC planning, PVC data for interconnection with MODEM

3. Port configuration planning: The port information of relevant rate and the VLAN
where the port is on should be opened.

ADSL access service data specification is shown in Table 3-1.

Ethernet Switch transparently transports the ZXA10
C300M service packet in layer–2 MAC frame.
Requirements on Configure ZXA10 C300M equipment access VLAN with
upstream equipment VLAN ID to be consistent with the ZXA10 C300M uplink
VLAN.
BRAS: Complete corresponding configuration according to
the requirements on dialing user authentication and billing.

3.2 Configuring PVC Parameter of Port

Purpose

To configure PVC of user ports for interconnection with MODEM.

1. Enter into config mode

3.3 Creating VLAN

Purpose

To create service VLAN

In config mode, use the command vlan x to create VLAN of ADSL service.

ZXAN(config-vlan)#exit

3.4 Configuring VLAN Data for User Ports and Uplink

3. Adding the uplink port to VLAN with tag

ZXAN(config)#interface gei_1/21/1

The uplink port mode should be consistent with the upper equipment port, if the upper
equipment port is tag mode, the uplink mode should be tag; if the upper equipment port is
untag mode, the uplink port mode should be untag.

3.5 Setting ADSL Line Profile

Purpose

To set ADSL line profile

Procedure

Set ADSL line parameter set and alarm parameter set according to the customer’s
requirements. For alarm parameter set, accept the default configuration and modification
is not needed.

1. Execute adsl-profile test.prf for the first time to create a script named test.prf.

2. Execute adsl-profile test.prf for the second time to set the parameters of script.

These parameters can be set according to the customer’s requirements.

3.6 Applying ADSL Line Profile

Purpose

To apply all ADSL Line Profile to user ports

System debugging engineers that have passed Competence Certification Level-2 of

ZXA10 C300M

Procedure

The process is shown as the following.

1. Apply ADSL the line profile to specific subscriber lines.

ZXAN(config)#interface adsl_1/4/1-64
ZXAN(cfg-if-range)#adsl profile test.prf

2. (Optional)Apply ADSL the alarm profile to specific subscriber lines.

ZXAN(cfg-if-range)#adsl alarm-profile alarmtest.prf

3. (Optional) Configure line transmission mode

ZXAN(cfg-if-range)#adsl trans-mode

Note: Step 2 and 3 generally adopt default configuration.
