Telling the truth demonstrates a desire to share private thoughts and feelings honestly.

This conduct
motivates other people to reciprocate, to make friends and to develop ties. For us as individuals and for
society as a whole, truth matters. Being true as individuals implies that we may develop and progress
and learn from our errors. Truth establishes social ties for society, and they shatter with lying and
hypocrisy. However, how can we tell people the truth? It must not be impolite.
