The global COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant impact on tennis. Movement restrictions
imposed by the government has resulted in the closure of all lawn tennis facilities. Since these
restrictions have been relaxed by virtue of Executive Order No. 112 of President Duterte imposing
General Community Quarantine in the entire country, including Tagum City, it may be possible to
open the Tagum City Lawn Tennis Club Facility provided that this guidelines will be strictly
implemented.

The following guidelines will help reduce the risk of respiratory infections, including COVID-19,

them (such as shaking hands or a high five).

TENNIS BALLS

Although unlikely, it’s possible that a tennis ball can transmit the COVID-19 virus, as virtually any hard
surface can transmit the disease. So here is an extra precaution you can take to keep safe when
playing tennis:

 Open a can of tennis balls and mark them.

 Try to have a set of balls each, so when serving you can use one set and your partner the
other set.
 Use your racquet head or feet to advance the ball to the other side of the court.
