• Distance Learning (COVID-19)
Distance learning is a new model of learning that
the Department of Education implements as a
new guideline for learning. Also known as distant
learning, e-learning, and online learning, It is a
process wherein which students can learn and
receive an education without being physically
present in a classroom and also, where teachers
teach virtually.
• Academic Performance
The current cross-sectional study
was carried out to analyze the
impact of COVID-19 lockdown on
the academic performance of
students and researchers.
•Technology
The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a digital
revolution in the higher education system
through online lectures, teleconferencing,
digital open books, online examination, and
interaction in virtual environments.
•Students Learning Skills
Difficulties are often an unavoidable but important part of
the learning process. This seems particularly so for
complex conceptual learning.

Challenges in the learning process are, however,

particularly difficult to detect and respond to in
educational environments where growing class sizes and
the increased use of digital technologies mean that
teachers are unable to provide nuanced and personalized
feedback and support to help students overcome their
difficulties.
•Work/Peer Influence
Academic activities are directed towards
ensuring that students gain mastery of
educational objectives. In schools, the extent
to which these objectives have been met is
determined greatly by the interaction of peer
groups which could reflect in student’s
academic performance.
•Teachers Quality
Pupils have the right to be taught by
qualified teachers who understand how
students absorb information, and these
teachers must be provided with
adequate resources in terms of
equipment to complete the project.
• Teachers quality-Educational Research
and Reviews 2(3),32-35
•Environmental/Parental
The process of analyzing and predicting
from a pool of obtained data in
educational data mining is difficult due
to the influence of students' behavioural,
environmental, parental, personal, and
social qualities.

Relatability of the title to the researchers

The researchers conducted this study to give an importance and

attention to the problems that a learner faces with their academic
performance that sometimes were overlook or oversimplified.
How can your study benefit the

environment and the society?

This study will benefit the environment by nurturing every learner with
first educational experiences that are centred in the homes; his/her

ideas, attitude and general pattern of behaviour are as a result of his

childhood rearing. The variation in the academic attainments of
students could be related directly to differences in the home and its
influence.

This study will benefit the society to further understand the cause of
the learners drawbacks while engaging in distance learning which is
associated with their academic performance. This signifies that a
small problem can trigger a broad effect on a learner.

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS IN

RESEARCH

Time management is a challenging problem for researchers

since it covers a lot of time and effort to complete the tasks.

Computer glitch / Technical Issue

The researchers may not gather all or the main factors that
affect the learners academic performance.

Technology

According to Bermuda (2014), mass media branch out media

technologies that are intended to reach a large audience through mass
communication. The technology through which this communication takes
place diverges. Broadcast media such as radio, recorded music, film, and
television convey their information electronically. Print media use a physical
object such as a newspaper, book, pamphlet or comics, to distribute their
information.

Administration

According to Leovigildo Lito Mallilin (2021), behavior and attitude of students in

the new normal perspectives have an impact in their learning process. It
contributes to self-determination in the new normal classes and framework
theory of learning engagement and supports the influence of the new normal
classes and learning perspective development.
Communication

According to Gautam in eLearning

Industry (2020), one of the drawbacks in
online learning of the students is having
the sense of isolation of the learners.
How your experiment can be a

solution to a problem?

Peoples' mind will be open when it comes to the

downfall of students in distance learning and vast
perspective will be acquired.

An action will be done in the future to go for a

change that everyone will gain in terms of
goodness in all aspects.
