How to Enter a Feature License

Quick guide to install a Feature License such as: Roaming, Ecryption or IP Site Connect License

1. Read the radio with CPS

2. In the CPS program click on the Tools menu, find the Feature Control License Register and click to open it. A box should appear as shown in FIG 1.

3. Click on the browse icon

4. Locate the license file on your computer, see FIG 2. Once located double click the license file to select it. Each License file is unique to the specific
serial numbered radio that it was ordered for.

5. Once the file is selected, click “OK” to proceed.

6. When the license has been successfully registered, a box will pop up, click “OK” to complete. See FIG 3

7. In the CPS click on “Common > Feature Control” and perform a feature check. This step completes the final stages of the license installation.

8. Click on “Feature Check” one more time. You may not see anything different happen. Then click “Close”.

9. You will now have to write the CPS to the radio, this will pemanently save the license. You should never have to refer to the license file again
unless you need to re-install the file. It is recommended to store your license file in a safe place, in case you ever need to re-install it.
