STD 12th - PRACTICAL SYLLABUS – Term 1 -2021-22

Subject Practical Syllabus
Physics 1. Two experiments- 8 mark
2. Practical record - 2 marks
3. Viva on experiment and activities-5marks
List of experiments:
1) To determine the resistivity of two/ three wires by plotting a
graph between potential difference versus current.
2) To verify the laws of combination (series) of resistances
using a meter bridge.
3) To determine the resistance of a galvanometer by half
deflection method and to find its figure of merit.
4) To convert the given galvanometer ( of known and figure of
merit ) into a voltmeter of desired range and to verify the
same.
Activities :
1) To measure resistance, voltage (AC//DC), current (AC), and
check continuity of a given circuit using a multimeter.
2) To assemble a household circuit comprising three bulbs,
three (on/off) switches, a fuse, and a power source.
3) To assemble the components of a given electrical circuit.

3) Content-Based Practical – 2M
4) Class Record And Viva (Internal Examiner) – 5M
List of Experiments –
1) Volumetric analysis (4 marks)
Determination of concentration/ molarity of KMnO4 solution by
titrating it against a standard solution of Oxalic acid,
2) Salt analysis (Qualitative analysis) (4 marks)
Determination of one cation and one anion in a given salt.
a) Ammonium carbonate b) Lead acetate c) Aluminium
sulphate
3) Content-Based Experiments (2 marks)
Characteristic tests of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in pure
samples and their detection in given foodstuffs.
Mathematics List of activities:
1. To verify that the relation in the set L of all lines in a plane,
defined by R = {(l,m): l is parallel to m} is an equivalence
relation.
2. To find analytically the limit of a function f(x) at x=c and
also to check the continuity of the function at that point.
3. To verify Rolle’s theorem
4. To understand the concept of decreasing and increasing
functions.
5. To understand the concept of absolute maximum and
minimum values of a function in a given closed interval
through its graph.
