EVRYGROUP HAS TO MAKE DECISION AND THE WAY IN WHICH THESE DECISIONS ARE MADE WILL
AFFECT DEEPLY THE COMMITMENT OF THE MEMBERS TO THE LIFE AND WORK OD THE GROUP.IF WE
LOOK BACK ON HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN DECISION MAKING WE WILL FIND
THE FOLLOWING:

A. THE PLOP- HERE THE GROUP MAKE DECISION BY NOT MAKING A DECISION. THIS MEANS NOT
TO DECIDE IS TO DECIDE
B.THE ONE PERSON DECISION -THIS IS QUICKLY MADE, BUT LATER WHEN DECIDER DEPEND ON
FREE OR VOLUNTARY SUPPORT FROM OTHERS TO IMPLEMENT IT, HE
MAY FIND HIMSELF CARRYING IT OUT ALONE.
C.HANDSCLAPS- ONE PERSON MAKE A SUGGESTION; ANOTHER SAYS WHAT A MARVELOUS IDEA, AND
WITHOUT FURTHER DISCUSSION, THE MATTER IS DECIDED
D. THE CLIQUE -THIS IS MADE BY A SMALL GROUP WHO PLANS BEFOREHAND TO GET TEIR WAY.
BECAUSE THEY ARE BETTER ORGANIZED THAN THOSE WHO DISAGREE, THEY ARE
OFTEN SUCCESSFUL ON THE IMMEDIATE ISSUE, BUT THEY BRING A SPIRIT OF
RIVARLY RATHER THAN COOPERATION INTO THE GROUP
E.MINORITY- THIS DECISION ARE NOT CONSCIOUSLY ORGANIZED AS THOS OF THE CLIQUE, BUT
A FER POWERFUL PERSONALITIES DOMINATE THE GROUP.
F.MAJORITY VOTE-IN BIG GROUPS, THIS IS OFTEN THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO MAKE A
DECISION.
G. SILENT CONSENSUS- SOME GROUP AIM AT UNANIMOUS DECISIONS. THESE ARE GOOD, IF
GENUINE, BUT THEY ARE RARELY ACHIEVED COMPLETELY ON IMPORTANT
ISSUES.
H.CONCENSUS- THIS IS AN ARGUMENT, OFTEN INVOLVING COMPRISE OR THE COMBINATION O
VARIOUS POSSIBILITIES AFTER ALL OPINIONS HAVE BEEN HEARD.
