Title : LG ESP Controller - LB Models only. Frequency : 50/60 Hz
Category : Information
Details : What is External Static Pressure?
“When the air flows through the ducts, it exerts some outward pressure against
the duct walls which is called the Static pressure”. More is the static pressure,
more has to be the fan speed for optimum air volume at discharge ports.
Although in a system,
Total Pressure = Static Pressure + Velocity Pressure.* ------- relation A
We can directly measure Static pressure and Total pressure using manometer
or other pressure gages on the duct. Velocity pressure can be calculated later
on using relationship A as mentioned above. The Static pressure increases and
Velocity pressure decreases with increase in cross-sectional area of duct.
For unit selection, compare the system static pressure and with unit’s static pressure
at various speeds.Using LG’s Linear ESP Control feature, we can maintain constant
air volume at High, Medium and Low speeds for given ESP ranging from 0~10mm
aqua. While setting ESP, the compressor is set to be off for unit protection.
B. Push the “Timer’and “Wind” button simultaneously for more than 3 seconds.
D. Now change to “Medium” mode and set the number 215. Then to “Low’mode and set the number 240 as
explained in step C.
E. At the end push the “Timer” and “Speed” button again for 3 seconds and the data is stored in the system
So in this way, we can set ESP feature. This feature is available only for Ceiling Concealed Duct models
