LET´S OBSERVE AND READ

Activity 2. Let's read the following conversation. A couple of roommates discuss what they need for
preparing dinner tonight.
Tom: I’d like to make spaghetti this evening. What do you think?
Bryan: Sounds good.
Tom: OK, well, we need some ground beef. Can you buy a kilo when you go to the supermarket?
Bryan: Sure.
Tom: And we need some onions.
Bryan: There are 4 onions in the cupboard and 2 tomatoes, too.
Tom: I think we need 3 more tomatoes for the sauce and some pasta, of course. Do we have any pasta?
Bryan: I think so. Let me check. Oh no, we don’t have any. How much pasta do we need?
Tom: I think you must buy a kilo of pasta and a bottle of olive oil too and don’t forget about the tomatoes,
please.
Bryan: OK. Don’t worry. Let’s see ground beef, tomatoes, pasta, and olive oil. Anything else?
Tom: No, nothing else. That’s all.
