MINI PERFORMANCE TASK

Mathematics 3
OUTREACH PROGRAMS FOR TYPHOON VICTIMS
( Selfless Service )
OBJECTIVES:
● List outreach activities that shows the virtue of “Selfless Service”
● Apply the division concept in distributing learners in outreach activities
● Realize the importance of “Selfless Service”

GOAL - Distribute the learners into different outreach programs that you will offer in the affected victims
of the recently concluded calamities - Typhoon Rolly and Ulyses.

ROLE - You are the Activity Coordinator of the school.

AUDIENCE - The target audience are the victims of calamities.

SITUATION - There are 1,324 grades 5-6 learners in Baseco Compound in Tondo. The challenge
involves you to divide the 1,324 learners into different outreach programs that show Selfless Service. Make
sure that all learners are members of an outreach program.

PRODUCT, PERFORMANCE, AND PURPOSE - You need to think of 3 outreach programs that offer
Selfless Service (Example: Feeding Program) to the victims of calamities. After that, divide the 1,324
learners in those 3 outreach programs. The number of learners in each outreach program can be unequal.
Write the division sentences that shows how you distributed the total number of learners into the
number of outreach programs.
Explain how your computations ensure that all the learners will be distributed to all the outreach
activities..

STANDARDS AND CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS - A successful output should provide the following:

a.) The total number of learners in each outreach program

b.) The list of the 3 outreach programs

c.) Number sentences that show your computation to ensure that all learners will be able to join the
outreach program.

d.) Picture of your computation (solution)

e.)Mark check ( / ) remarks for the outreach program with the most number of members while cross ( X )
remarks for fewer members.

f.) Explain how your computations ensure that all the learners will be accommodated to all the outreach
programs and the importance of showing “Selfless Service”

g.)Send your performance task through the links shown on ELIZA.

h.) Submission will be due on Monday, January 11, 2021 until 12:00 PM

MATHEMATICS 3
Outreach Programs
( Selfless Service )

TOTAL NUMBER OF LEARNERS - 1,324

NUMBER SENTENCE - 1,324 divided by 3=n

Insert the Picture of your Solution:

How did you ensure that all learners will be a member of an outreach program?
Which outreach program did you put the remaining learners?

I ensure it by dividing the learners to the number of outreach program activities. And I put the
remaining learners to the Scholarship Program who has more number of learners.
NAME OF OUTREACH PROGRAM ACTIVITIES NUMBER OF REMARKS
MEMBERS (/ or X)

Scholarship Program 442 X

Clothes giving program 441 X

Charity Program 441 /

Explain how you felt in creating an activity for the needy. Why is it important that we
show compassion/ “Selfless Service” to our kababayans that need our help?

I feel like I am a hero while thinking about the programs that I want to make someday for the needy. It is
important to show compassion to the “selfless service” to our kababayans that need our help because
being a kind person is one of the most important aspects of being with people living in this world..
Because you are living here with them and you are the one who can see that they need your help, as
long as you can do something for them, do it. Because being a child of God must care for everybody.
Being selfless is not bad as long as you see the smile of the person who needs you, or who needs your
help rather. The scholarship program is to give opportunity to those students who want to reach their
dreams and goals in life, and I want to share with them how important education is. The Clothes giving
program is for those families who don’t have enough clothes daily. I want them to feel how important it is
to wear comfortable clothes like I am wearing. Or I can sell this clothes of mine and the money that I will
earn is for the Charity program, and I know that I can give smile to them with this program.
