    CURRENT METHOD OF DOING COLUMN, BEAMS, AND SHEAR WALL WORK


    ON TOKYO RIVERSIDE APARTMENT PIK 2 PROJECT

    There is a need to prepare students in the major of construction for real world
    experience, hence this short internship with the Tokyo riverside apartment PIK 2
    project. While performing professional work here, students worked under the
    supervision and guidance of the engineering division. The tasks involved upper
    structure work that includes the methods of carrying out work of column, shear
    wall, and beam. To shorten construction time, floor to floor system was used. This
    enabled construction of columns, beams, shear walls to be completed within 4
    days. With 4 zones in a floor, each floor in tower 3 and 4 can be completed within
    the allocated schedule. This method is proven to have shorten the length of
    construction time in this project.
