IPL Auction by Sports Club, IIM Visakhapatnam

The Auction would be conducted on Zoom.

Date: 17th October 2021

Time: 8 P.M.

Auction Rules
 Each team is given a purse of 50 CR each.
 The list of players available for auction is attached with this mail.
 Each team should pick a minimum of 11 and maximum of 13 players.
 Teams should present their Playing XI at the end of the Auction.
 If under any scenario, the team overspends & is unable to purchase a minimum of 11
players, they shall be disqualified.
 Points would be given only for the Playing XI presented by the team.
 The playing XI should consist of at least one all-rounder, four batsmen, one wicketkeeper
and three bowlers.
 Maximum four foreign players are allowed in the Playing XI.
 Maximum amount allowed to be spent for a single player is 15 Crores.
 In case the max. amount is reached, a secret bidding would take place where team leader
must send a direct message to host on zoom chat consisting of the highest amount the team
is willing to pay for the player.
 When the price of a player is below 1 CR the bid would increase by 10 L. Above 1 CR & below
4 CR the bid would increase by 25 Lakhs. Above 4 CR the bid would increase by 50 L.

Zoom Rules
 Only one participant is allowed to raise hand to bid for a player.
 Once the participant raises the hand & the host recognizes the bid, the participant must
lower down their hand.
 A time of 10 seconds would be given to the teams to place their initial bid for any player; If
the initial bid is not placed within 10 seconds, the player shall remain unsold.
 All teams must have their respective backgrounds in zoom (attached with the mail).
 Any form of discussion between team members is not allowed on zoom. Players can stay in
contact with team members via other communication channels.

Note: Under any circumstance, the decision taken by the Sports Club would be
final and the players would have to abide by it.
