Guidelines to apply for Kasetsart’s Agro-Industry Scholarships (AI Scholarships) for new international students
to enroll in the graduate programs in 1st semester of year 2021 in the following programs:

*All degree programs are non-coursework/research only program. Nonetheless, the students may register in the courses offered in English.
**International Program

TERM OF SCHOLARSHIPS and amount awarded will be one of two types as follows:

Type 1 – Partial Scholarship Type 2 – Full Scholarship

• Master Students will receive a full tuition and
enrollment fee waiver for 2 consecutive years
(maximum of 24 months)
• Ph.D. Students will receive a full tuition and
enrollment fee waiver for 3 consecutive years
(maximum of 36 months)
• Master Students will receive a full tuition and
enrollment fee waiver and monthly stipends for
living expenses at the rate of 12,000 Thai Baht for
2 consecutive years (maximum of 24 months)
• Ph.D. Students will receive a full tuition and
enrollment fee waiver and monthly stipends for
living expenses at the rate of 12,000 Thai Baht for
3 consecutive years (maximum of 36 months)

Note:
• Applicants must apply to the same program for the AI scholarship and the KU Graduate School admission.
• Only complete applications (including all required documents) will be considered for the scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY
Qualified applicants must:
• Not be a Thai citizen or a permanent Thai resident.
• Meet the requirements for the admission to the selected programs and the Graduate School of Kasetsart
University.

SELECTION CRITERIA
• Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and research potential in the areas of
agro-industrial technology management, biotechnology, food science & technology, packaging &
materials technology, and product development.
• Submission of the original English language proficiency score will be helpful to the Master’s applicants
for the scholarship consideration (submission is required for Ph.D. applicants).

HOW TO APPLY

1. Review the information about the graduate programs of the Faculty of Agro-Industry at www.agro.ku.ac.th
and the information about the admission to the graduate school of Kasetsart University at
https://www.grad.ku.ac.th/en/application/app63_f1_3_n_en/
2. Fill ONLINE the AI Scholarship Application Form at https://form.jotform.com/210721686789064
3. Fill ONLINE the KU Application Form for Graduate Study Form at http://mis.grad.ku.ac.th/application/en
4. Send the following required document files to Application Unit, Educational Services Section at
fgrakkc@ku.ac.th (cc to phuthai.b@ku.th) with the subject line of “AI Scholarship 2021”

A checklist of the required documents:

4.1 Ph.D. applicants
• Scanned files of bachelor’s degree transcript and a master’s degree transcript, clearly presenting a
conferred degree name and a graduation date.
• Scanned files of bachelor’s degree certificate and a master’s degree certificates
• A Scanned file of English proficiency examination score (required for Ph.D. applicants)

4.2 Master’ applicants

• Scanned files of bachelor’s degree transcript clearly presenting a conferred degree name and a
graduation date.
• Scanned files of bachelor’s degree certificate
• A Scanned file of English proficiency examination score (if any)

4.3 Both doctoral and master’s candidates:

• A scanned file of the “KU Application Form for Graduate Study Form”
• A scanned file of the “AI Scholarship Application Form”
• A scanned file of the first page of the passport
• A scanned file of a one-inch applicant’s photo, dressed in proper attire (less than 6 months old)
• Conceptual proposal of a research topic of interest (3 – 4 pages A4)
• Three letters of recommendation
• Curriculum vitae
• Other information that the applicants deem relevant

IMPORTANT DATES
• Only completed applications will be considered and must be received no later than May 25, 2021 (16.30
hrs. at local time)
• Scholarship recipients will be notified by email on June 15, 2021
• The semester will start on August 9, 2021

SCHOLARSHIPS CONDITIONS
• Be a full-time student in all period of scholarship receiving.
• Sign in the scholarship contract with the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University
• Be required to sign a scholarship contract and maintain the full-time graduate student status of the KU
Graduate School for the duration of the scholarship in order to maintain the scholarship eligibility.
• Not receive other supportive scholarship from other resources.
• Submit the study report and the thesis/dissertation progress report with the approval from thesis
advisor every end of the semester.
• Be requested to provide a certificate of good health from a medical doctor that is less than three
months old on the start date of their program.
• The Scholarships do not cover student application fee, health insurance and travel cost.
• Applicants must already graduate or their transcripts and degree certificates must clearly demonstrate
their graduation dates no later than the start date of the semester in which the applicants have applied.
• If applicants have not graduated from an English program or in an English-speaking country, both the
original language and the English language versions of their transcripts, degree certificates and all
translated documents are required in order to complete the application process. All translated
documents must be certified by applicant’s university or government.

SCHOLARSHIP TERMINATION / SUSPENSION

The Scholarships will be terminated if the grantees:
• Leaves of education
• Does not follow any of Scholarship Conditions or breach of Scholarships Agreement
• Cancels his/her study with inappropriate reasons.
• Has dishonest behavior and plagiarism

SCHOLARSHIP REIMBURSEMENT
In case that the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University terminates the scholarship payment, the grantees
must reimburse in received actual payment.
