FUNDAMENTALS
Ultrasonic Bearing Inspection is a Non Intrusive Way
to Assess the Condition of Bearings. The UltraProbe
10,000SD Allows for Analysis of Audible Quality
Identifying Inefficiencies. Recording Capabilities to
Visually Identify Faults Through Spectralyzer
Software, Compare Sounds and Conduct Fault
Frequency Analysis.
INITIAL SETUP
To Power On the UltraProbe 10,000SD, Pull and
Hold the Instrument Trigger. Keep Trigger
Pulled for Instrument to Remain ON. The Unit
Will Power On in The Main Display.

INITIAL SETUP
Select the Bearing Application from the Setup
Menu Located in the Function Bar. Press the
Sensitivity Dial Until the Setup Menu is Flashing,
Then Press the ENTER Button. Spin the Dial to find
Menu #3, Application Select. To Enter the Menu,
Click the Dial Again.

Downloading the DMS Software From
UESystems.com Will Allow Inspectors to Build a
Database For All Bearings Within a System.
Each Route Can Be Downloaded to the Ultraprobe
10,000SD For Organized Data Acquisition and
Report Generation.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
With the Bearing Route Downloaded to the
UltraProbe 10,000SD, and the Frequency Set to
30KHz, Inspectors Can Collect Data. Make Contact
With the Grease Fitting or Bearing Housing Using
the Stethoscope Module (STM) or Remote Magnetic
Transducer (RMT).
SAVING DATA
Because the Majority of Bearing Data Consists of
Audible Quality and Recording WAV Files,
Permanently Storing the Data to the SD Card Can Be
Achieved Through the Record WAV Option Within
the Function Bar. Ensure Proper Recording
Parameters Prior to Selecting Record WAV.

Once Recording is Complete, Inspectors Can
Playback Recording to Ensure Quality or Click
the Sensitivity Dial to Continue. Pressing the
ENTER Button Will Permanently Save the
WAV File to the SD Card and Automatically
Advance to the Next Test Point. Once
Stored, a Confirmation Prompt Will Be
Displayed.
SUPPORTIVE SOFTWARE
SUPPORTIVE SOFTWARE
The DMS Software Allows For Data Storage and Report Generation. From
the Reports Tab, Select the Desired Report to Generate, Then Select
“Generate Selected Report”. Next, Naming and Selecting Where the
Report Will Be Located is Required. Once Generated, the Reports Can Be
Shared, Reviewed, and Stored for Future Access. All Reports are in Excel
Formatting.
