During this course, a different combination of homework and assignments was given to evaluate

the performance and learning of the students. One of the homework was based on a scenario of
the Seraco Company followed by the calculations and recommendation, the recommendation
part was entirely based on the self-analysis of an individual student. Honestly, this homework
gave me a very tough time, considering the mode of education, and the stress this pandemic was
causing to me; I find this homework very hard and lengthy. I was very stressed when I was
allotted this assignment by my instructor. I always found it hard to link my calculations and
analysis to the scenario presented in the question. Here, the assignment asked us to provide an
analysis on the pricing decision of the company, by evaluating the target and basic costing and
incorporating different external factors that would be essential to implementing the pricing
decision. This part of the homework involved a little bit of the calculation, causing me a little
uneasiness because I had to research on the internet for the questions, and how these evaluations
are supposed to be made. I watched numerous YouTube videos and got some help from my peers
as well. After spending a considerable amount of time on this learning and practicing I was able
to derive my analysis and recommendation for the management of the company. Above all, I
was beyond happy to attempt this homework because I received an opportunity to learn and
enhance my analysis skills. Although this type of homework gives a considerable amount of
stress and sleepless nights, on contrary to it, I had learned the skill of thinking out of a box,
which is again very important to survive these days, within the university as well as in the job
market. The dynamic environment requires us to change our way of seeing scenarios in different
ways, and I have enhanced my ability. Moreover, I was very much delighted because I
completed my assignment successfully, where I only found the problem with the first part of the
question. Overall, the experience was tremendous. [ CITATION Iki20 \l 1033 ]

In addition to it, another evaluation was handed over to me by my instructor. The mode of the
assignment was like the previous homework. However, this time, the question asked us to
present very thorough calculations that were necessary to calculate the cost gap for the new
product of Xerzes Co. The question included a small introduction about the company, and
details related to the materials, overheads, costs, and anticipated selling price and volumes for
the product. The moment I was allotted with work, I had an expression of extreme frustration on
my face because I was already burned out due to the lots of activities, assignments, and
homework given by the instructors of the different courses. Nevertheless, I was determined to
complete my work on time, and this time without asking much help because I wanted to see what
I have learned so far in the course and whether I have developed my skills of analysis and
incorporating my findings in different scenarios. Honestly speaking, I attempted this assignment
without much help and effort because these concepts were thoroughly explained and discussed
by my instructor within the class. It took me almost a day and a half, and I was able to complete
my work, and in fact, submitted before time. The happiness that follows submitting your work
before time is beyond explanation. This time, I enjoyed doing it, and I was able to handle my
stress. The best part of this assignment was that I learned to calculate the cost gap by analyzing
the forecast data. Apart from learning skills, I learned about my underlying determination that I
can manage work under stress and pressure, just another necessary corporate skill.

Moreover, another homework was allotted to evaluate our progress and learning. The homework
was based on the scenario of Gelator Company. This homework was a bit tough and gave tough
time to me as well to my other class fellows. The allotment of this homework left me thoughtless
for the few minutes because the questions were structured, involved a lot of details and data. In
the first view or first scan you cannot understand the questions and the demand for the analysis
but reading the parts separately and twice worked for me. I had to go through the homework
thrice to properly grasp the points that were needed to work on. The homework was based on
price variance analysis, involving the planning and operational analysis. Afterwards, we were
supposed to analyze the benefits as well as the drawbacks of the planning and operational
analysis. Precisely, this homework gave me a tough time including a lot of anxiety and crying
session. First all, this homework was going to evaluate me on my calculation, theories, and my
own derived conclusions. Although at this time of the semester, I have improved remarkably in
many areas still the difficulty level of this work above average and required a lot of energy and
concepts to understand it (at least for me). However, with a lot of effort, spending time on
internet and YouTube channels, I was able to attempt this homework, and again, submitted it on
the time. I was delighted to see my determination and progress that I have made. I learned
planning and operational variance analysis, which speaking the truth, is not easy, but I was able
to attempt it and drew my conclusions. I was glad to accomplish and enhance my knowledge.
