 Volunteering with the Louisiana SPCA
 Helping with laundry, cleaning the cat and dog condos, walking the dogs, and socializing
with both animals as well.
 Being a volunteer let me spend a lot of time with animals, learn how they like their
habitat, and learning how they communicate with humans to let us know when something
is not right.
Shadowing a Veterinarian at the Louisiana SPCA, New Orleans, Louisiana
March 2021-March 2021, New Orleans, LA
 Shadowing the veterinarian and the vet technicians that work at the LSPCA health and
wellness clinic for animals.
 The job duties included sanitizing the patient rooms after each animal, observing physical
examinations and lab test, and drawing immunizations.
 Getting this opportunity gave me a look into the real world of being a veterinarian by
getting to see how a day in a vet clinic would be. This helped me deiced if it was
something that would actually be enjoyable having to studying further then eventually
doing it for the rest of my career.
