In addition to knowing the words that make up a syntactic structure, you should also know what the
four syntactic structures are and how the words are arranged in each structure.

1. What are the components of structure of modification?


It is composed by a head and a modifier. This structure may enlarge, choose, change, or
even describe the head.
Head- is the main word of the subject or direct object in the sentence that is
emphasized by the modifier.
Modifier- is the words that appears before the subject or direct object in the sentence
and that modifies the head.
2. How are the components arranged in adjectival structures of modification? In adverbial
structures of modification?
