WRITING WORDS
You have now learned all letters of the
keyboard represented by single keys
and are ready to begin writing words.
You should be able to write all letters
presented in Lesson 2 without
hesitation.

Before beginning Word Exercise 3-1, practice writing
the following words. Remember, you will be pressing
all letters in a word at the same time. Read back your
notes, aloud if possible.
Strokes may appear in two ways:

1. Spaced as they appear on the paper tape and


some CAT systems as below;
K A T
S K A T

2. or run together as they appear on other CAT


systems. (Remember that a slash is used to
separate strokes.)
