I. INTRODUCTION
The concept of readiness involves recognizing the need to change, weighing the costs and benefits
and, when benefits outweigh costs, planning for change. In this time of pandemic where change is really
inevitable and health is really at risk, the education sector has faced so many problems. One of the
problems is how will the country continue education without risking the health of the students. Readiness
program enables students to be engaged in and benefit from learning experiences that will help them with

Distance learning is the response of education sectors to COVID-19. It is a form of education in where
there is a physical separation of teachers and students during the teaching and learning process and the
use of different technologies to facilitate communication, this includes different types such as Synchronous
learning, a learning that happens at the same time for the instructor and the learners, meaning that
happen at the same time for the instructor and the learners; Instructional Television, the use of Television
programs as a way of learning; Modular distance learning, it involves individualized instruction that allows
learners to use self-learning modules; and Virtual Classroom, virtual learning uses computer software, the
Turning traditional face-to-face classrooms to virtual classrooms is a way used by St. Francis of Assisi
College (SFAC) to cope with the Pandemic. A virtual classroom is a teaching and learning environment
where students and teachers interact, communicate and discuss lessons, all in an online setting where
computer and internet is salient. Technology plays a big role in this type of distance learning especially
with the usage of computers and internet as part of learning. Virtual classrooms come with its pros and

which involves the use of Schoology, a social networking service and virtual learning environment for K-12
school and higher education institutions that allows users to create, manage, and share academic content.
FALP consists of three delivery modes such as Guided Online Learning Session (GOLS), it is where teachers
discuss and guide learners about the lessons; Consultation Intervention Session (CIS), where there is
consultation between the teachers and students about lessons; and Independent Learning Session (ILS),
To provide Quality Education despite of the pandemic the utilization of technology is ensured by
providing the teachers’ computers and internet connection with at least 50 mbps thus internet connection
in school will not be a hindrance in the said learning mode. Health and safety is also a priority to SFAC not
only for the students but also for its teachers that’s why standard safety protocol is strictly implemented,
III. CONCLUSION
Being able to adapt to change is something important in today’s situation. The challenges faced by the
country in the midst of pandemic will not be any reason for the teacher to stop teaching, for the learners
