Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon?

1. If you were to ask the next generation, what FILIPINO phrase are you going to add
to the title of the film? (3)

 It’s easy to state “Sino ang mga Pilipino? Ako ay Pilipino”. Because at most part of the
film, Kulas has many encounters with the different definitions by the different persons of
the word “Filipino”. At the first part of the film, Father Gil Corcuera defined the word
“Filipino” as the Spaniards living in the Philippines. Kulas realize the true meaning of
being a Filipino. Kulas came up that with the realization that being born in the
Philippines is not enough to be called a Filipino, being a Filipino means that we take
responsibility to defend this country, along with the culture and tradition acquainted to it.

All of us has a dream and it’s up to us how we will reach and take it. In the case of
Matilde I will appreciate the way how she achieved her dreams because she just did it not
just for herself but also to the one who believes in her.

 Matilde was an actress whose personal desire is to be known and acknowledged by the
whole world as a beautiful and good actress.
 She marry Don Tibor. Matilde accept the assistance that Don Tibor was offering, she
taught it will something that can give sense of pride and achievement. But Matilde was
not all happy with the turn of events and admitted that she has spent her life with Don
Tibor since the start even during the time when she was married to Kulas.

(4)

 The Mahal kita… Paalam still He loves the same person. He will choose you even in
your misunderstandings, He will choose you even when you don't meet each other's
expectations but He will choose to leave you because of his own dreams.

4. How will you become a pride of your country like Rizal? (5)

 I will become a pride for my country, even if I can’t die for my country like Dr. Jose
Rizal, I will study about its history so that I can teach it to the future young Filipino kids
that they will never forget where they belong. You can simply do small things that will
help the future of the Philippines. Be conscious of your environment and help lift
everyone around you up when you can. Love your home, love your people, and celebrate
the culture that bonds you together as a nation and Praying for our nation is the best I can
contribute to our country.
