 Figures and Tables
• The citation of the figures and tables in a
report consists of :
- Figures must be centered.
- The figures must be “inline with text”.
- The paragraph style of figures is “Figure
Style”.
- Right click of the figure
- Click insert Caption
 Figures and Tables
• You will get:
• Select the label
-Figure or table

• The caption of the figure consists of the

number of the chapter and the number of the
figure in this chapter.
 Figures and Tables
• The caption of the figure will appear below
the figure and should be centered.

• The Caption of the table will appear before

the table and should be Align left
 Figures and Tables
• The figures and the tables should be
referenced in the text:
- The system shown in the figure .. presents….
• Go to the Word References menu then Click
Cross-reference
• Select: Reference Type= Table or figure
• Select: Insert reference= Only label and
number
• Click Insert.

• Update the table of figures

• Update the table of tables

• Update the table of content
