I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to;
1. Identify the goals of social work;
2. Discuss the goals of social work;
3. Appreciate the importance of the goals of social work in enhancing the social
functioning
and over all well-being of the people.

Goal on Caring - focuses on improving and enhancing the well-being and welfare of an
individual or community
Goal on Curing - targets on treating people with problems
Goal on Changing - aims to alleviate poverty, environmental destruction, and social
disintegration. It is the most significant goals of social work because it
contributes in the struggle to pursue a lasting social change.
