Download and install updater software

IMPORTANT: You will need to be running firmware version 1.0.3 or higher to use the wavestate Software
Librarian software.

Before performing an update, you’ll need to check which firmware version you’re currently on and compare it to the latest
System Version for your device listed on Korg’s website. You can do this by pressing UTILITY and then SHIFT + < (PAGE
-).

1. Go to the wavestate download page and download the latest System Updater file.

It may take a moment for the download to appear.

2. Navigate to your Downloads folder then run the installer.

Mac users: If you’re running macOS Catalina, you will receive an error stating the system extension is blocked,
so you’ll need to enable the HoRNDIS driver (see below).

Enable HorNDIS driver (Mac)

Korg uses a specific driver protocol, which will require you to manually enable it after Catalina’s security restrictions on
third-party installers. During the installation process, you’ll receive a notification stating that the system extension is
blocked. When you see this window, follow these steps.

1. Click Security Preferences, click the padlock icon, then enter your credentials.

2. Click Allow, then close the window. The installation will then continue.

Enable RNDIS driver (PC)

1. Connect the wavestate to your computer and open Device Manager.

2. Locate the RNDIS Driver that has a yellow triangular caution sign. It should be located under Other devices.

3. Right-click on that driver listing & select Update Driver.

4. Choose Browse My Computer For Drivers, then Let Me Pick From A List Of Available Drivers.

5. Select Network Adapters from the list and click Next.

The list will take a moment to populate.

6. From the list of manufacturers on the left, select Microsoft.

7. Then, from the list of drivers on the right, select USB RNDIS6 adapter.

8. Launch the wavestate Updater app.

The wavestate should now be found within a minute.

Once the necessary drivers are installed, and the computer restarted, you can now update the firmware. All you need to
do is connect the wavestate to your computer, launch the wavestate Updater app, then press Start. Once the device
