I. Essential Ideas

What is belief? Simply, belief is something that an individual considers as the truth.
Beliefs have been formed based on our experiences and backgrounds.

What is conviction? A conviction is a firm belief that an individual has on a particular


subject. Convictions is usually a bit different to a belief because an individual becomes
convinced of something after he has thorough knowledge understanding of all the
available information.
LITERARY GENRES:

Proverbs: a proverbs or (salawikain) is a wise saying that expresses a truth about life. It is stated in the figurative
language and is usually given in rhyming coupletes.

Myths Legends

Myths are prose narrative which in the society in Legends are prose narratives which, like myths, are
