ACAD.PAPER 75/80

In this first module, I have learned a lot about the principles, development, and issues
regarding the child’s development process. Also, this module helps me to deeply understand
that as a future teacher, we are also responsible for the development of every child.

In the lesson 1, it focuses on the learner’s conditions in learning. I have learned the
different factors that may affects the child learning and development process. And how can we,
as teacher address the problems that might hinder the absorption of knowledge and the learning
of different types of learners.

In the lesson 2, I have learned about the definition of human development, its concept
and approaches. We tend to encounter many kinds of situations that require various approach
and solution. So, in this lesson, we are informed about the different kinds of development that
any learners may have. For that, we may be able to adjust our teaching methods considering
the learner’s development.

In the lesson 3, I have learned about the different stages of development and its task.
So, like any other area, tasks differ depending on the capacity and ability of the participant or
learner. In this lesson, stages of development are explained so that we know how can we help
the children learn. Moreover, parents also play a big part in the acquisition of learning of their
child.

In the lesson 4, I have learned the different issues on human development. These issues
give more emphasis about how well we understand the development of humans. Also, the
stands of each side of the issue are well explained through strong statements. It is a matter of
“both and” not “either-or.”

In the last lesson, principles, definition, use, and the types of research are explained.
This lesson emphasizes the importance of research especially if it is about education which the
target are the teachers and students. Research are being required to conduct by teachers, for
them to become effective in teaching.

In summary, this module tells us the basics of effective teaching, which is knowing more
about the varieties of learners and their developments in every aspect. And about how can we
help them in whatever we think is appropriate for them, considering the factors that affects their
learnings.
