BIOLOGICS

of 4 weeks below 25°C aware from
direct heat or light when in use or carried
as a spare. The pen in use must not be
stored in a refrigerator. Do not use it
after this time period.
3. Moderna mRNA-1273 vaccine Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Before Use: The vaccine must be in a
frozen state between -50°C and -15°C.
Unpunctured vials may be stored in the
refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C (36° to
46°F) for up to 30 days.
Punctured vials may be stored between
2°F and 25°C (36°F and 77°F) for up to
12 hours.

vaccine refreeze thawed vaccine. Must be used
up within 12 hours, and then should be
discarded after that.
SUPPOSITORIES

1. Metronidazole + Miconazole Metindaz Recommend to patient to avoid sexual


nitrate contacts during treatment as it can
reduce the efficacy of local contraception
and interactions of the suppository base
with the latex.
Advise patients not to take alcohol
during the therapy and for 3 days after
the end of the treatment, due to the
possibility of disulfiram-like reaction.
2. Glycerol United Home Glydolax Remind patients that glycerol
suppositories are for rectal use only.
Never take rectal suppositories by
mouth.
Advise patients not to double dose when
missed, just take the next dose if still
needed.
3. Glycerin Rhea Glycerin Suppository Instruct the patient that only one
suppository should be used and inserted
well up into the rectum and allow it to
remain from 15 to 20 minutes.
LIQUID PREPARATIONS

1. Aripiprazole Abilify Maintena Administer within 30 minutes of
reconstitution. Inject immediately after
reconstitution. Shake well before use for
at least 20 secs if left for more than 15

hydrochloride be administered for a long time. Taking
this for treatment will deem driving and
operating machinery as potentially
hazardous tasks.

3. Ipratropium bromide Atorvent The unit dose vials are intended only for
inhalation with suitable nebulizing
devices and should not be taken orally or
administered parenterally.
SOLID PREPARATIONS

result in serious infections due to

3. Acetylcysteine ACC Dissolve in a glass of water after meals.
Should not be taken for more than 4-5
days without medical advice.
