Swiss design was a movement that took
hold in 1950s in two Swiss Art Schools.
Both of the guiders of these schools
have studied with Ernst Keller in Zurich
before World War II. They had the ethos
START
of letting their content shine and design
to be supressed. Their ideas took roots
in Netherlands, Russia and Germany .
SWISS STYLE
TRAITS
It is the use of asymmetric layouts
with the text either aligned flush-left,
ragged-right, Sans serif fonts are
used. The use of photographs instead
of illustrations and the placement of
objects according to the grid remains
still vey important.
GO
ALS
This presents a systemized way
to present a clear message.

In this design, it shows how minimal elements
arranged in sophisticated manner can be so
powerful and effective. The typography here is
bold and the black and white photography is
something common in Swiss style designs as
it is simple and eye catchy.
