Solution 5-1: Getting Started


Overview
In this solution, you create four simple logic accounts, and assign them to a location. After
importing data, you verify the logic accounts and amounts.

Adding Logic Accounts
1. Navigate to Oracle Fusion applications. When prompted, enter hcm_impl in the User ID
field.
2. Enter the password the Password field.
3. Click the Sign In button.
4. On the Oracle Fusion Applications Welcome page, click your username.
5. Click the Setup and Maintenance list item.
6. In the “Setup and Maintenance” work area, in the Tasks pane, click the Getting Started
link.
7. Point to the Compensation Management button to see a description of the offering.
8. Click the Compensation Management link.
9. On the Offering page, click the View as PDF button for the Setup Task Lists and Tasks
report.
10. Review the Report, and then click the Close button.
11. On the Offering page, click the Done button.
12. On the Getting Started page, click the Done button.

Solution 7-1: Create an Implementation Project

Implementation Projects link.
7. On the Manage Implementation Projects page, in the Search Results region, click the
Create button.
8. On the Create Implementation Project page, enter XX Implementation Project in the
Name field.
9. Press Tab to automatically populate the rest of the fields.
10. Click the Next button.
11. Expand the Compensation Management task list.
12. In the Include column, select the following options:
• Configure compensation and benefits
• Configure and review benefits
• Configure plans for managers to award
13. Click the Save and Open Project link.
14. Expand the Compensation Management task list.
15. Expand the Define Benefits task list.
16. Expand the Define General Benefits task list.
17. Click the View Reports button for the Define General Benefits task list.
18. Click the PDF link for the Setup Task Lists and Tasks report.
19. View the report, and then click the Close button.
20. On the Implementation Project list, click the Done button.
21. On the Manage Implementation Projects page, click the Done button.

8. In the Task Lists and Tasks region, select the Compensation Management object.
9. Click the Assign Tasks button.
10. In the Assign Tasks dialog box, enter Please finish tasks by end of Q4 in the Notes field.
11. In the Assigned Users region, click the Select and Add button.
12. In the Search region, enter hcm_impl in the User ID field.
13. Click the Search button.
14. Select the HCM_IMPL object.
15. Click the Done button.
16. Click the Save and Close button.
17. Click the Notes link.
18. Review the notes link, and then click the Save and Close button.
19. Click the Done button.

12. Review any notes for the current task. Click the Notes link.
13. On the Notes page, review any notes, and then click the Cancel button.

Solution 10-1: Export Setup Data


1. Navigate to Oracle Fusion Applications. In the Sign In dialog box, when prompted, enter
hcm_impl in the User ID field.
2. Enter the password in the Password field.
3. Click the Sign In button.

4. On the Oracle Fusion Applications Welcome page, click the Administration menu.
5. Click the Setup and Maintenance list item.
6. In the Tasks pane of the “Setup and Maintenance” work area, click the Manage
Configuration Packages link.
7. On the Manage Configuration page, in the Search Results region, click the Create button.
8. On the Create Configuration Package page, in the Source Implementation Project region,
click the Name list.
9. Click the XX Implementation Project list item.
10. Click the Next button.
11. On the Create Configuration Package, select Objects for Export, and then click the Submit
button.
12. When prompted with a warning, click the Yes button to confirm.
13. In the XX Implementation Project region, click the Status icon for the AA Implementation
Project.
14. On the “Export and Import Process Results” page, click the Done button.
15. To view the Configuration Package report, click the Download button.
16. Click the Download Export Results Report link.
17. When prompted, click OK to open the Report in Excel.
18. When you have reviewed the report, click the Close button.
19. On the Overview page, click the Done button.

• Unless otherwise instructed, begin all activities in your own (XX Implementation)
implementation project.

In this activity, you will:
• Log in to Oracle Fusion Applications by using the following credentials:
− User ID: hcm_impl
• From the All Tasks tab, search for the Manage Attachment Entities task.
• View, but do not modify, the Manage Attachment Entities task. Cancel when you have
finished viewing.

6. On the Overview page of the “Setup and Maintenance” work area, search for the task for
which you want to update the setup data. Enter Manage Attachment Entities in the Name
field.
7. Click the Search button.
8. In the Search Results region, click the Go to Task button for the Manage Attachment
Entities task.
9. On the Manage Attachment Entities page, review but do not change, the setup information
for this task. Click the Cancel button after you have reviewed the setup information.
