TEST – 3 Milestone, 15 Task, more than 6 months

1. Start date is when you want to start the project


2. Finish date is when you want to finish the project – ex. Wedding plan
3. Holiday is non-recurring
4. Recurring is happened every week / every month
5. If non- recurring use exception tab – if one day only, use start and finish on same date
6. Recurring use work weeks tab – put Sunday on working time and put Friday on weekend

Finish to start – default relationship (task 2 will start after task 1 complete)
Start to start (task 1 and task 2 will start together)
Finish to finish (task 1 and task 2 will end together)
Start to finish (task 2 complete and task 1 will start)

Task 2 – 1SS (predecessor) start to start

Task 2 – 1FF (predecessor) finish to finish

MILESTONE = 0 days

System planning - first set 0 days, then highlighted task 1 until task 3 make indent, then click indent
task at top = total task in task 1 until task 3 will be days of system planning

System analysis - same

System design - same

RESOURCES – human resources

T1, T2, T3 – analyst

T3 – T5 – designer

T7 – T8 – programmer

T9 – analyst, designer, programmer

*CREATE RESOURCES LIST FIRST

Resource tab – assign resources – put resources name (analyst, designer, programmer) – put units
(100% for one person) - close

Under “resource names”, insert resource / highlight all task and insert resource names
COST OF RESOURCES

Variable cost

Resource tab – assign resources – double click resource name (analyst) – click costs tab – put rate for
standard unit (RM100/h) and overtime rate (RM150/h)

Fixed cost

View tab – tables – choose cost – insert cost for fixed cost manually – choose start or end for accrual
– changes back tables to entry

IF A RED PERSON APPEAR, IT MEANS YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCE

So - add more resources or persons

- u can make longer days for that task so it can be enough

MONITORING

UPDATE PROJECT

When finish all task, select all tasks and click update project – choose option “set 0% - 100%
complete”

CHANGE 50% COMPLETE TO 45% COMPLETE MANUALLY

ask – go task tab – choose for 50% tab complete

Or

Right click the task – information – general tab – percent complete change to 45%

MAKE A REPORT

Project tab – under reports group – click visual reports – choose any template

Or

Click reports for normal report – choose overview – choose any template
