“What Importance Of Developing Innovative Learning”
The learning process activity is the core of the educational process, while the teacher is one of the main stakeholders in driving the progress and development of the world of education. The main task of a teacher is to educate, teach, guide, train. Therefore, the responsibility for the success of education lies with the teacher. In order for the learning process to be successful and the quality of education to improve, teachers who have insight into the knowledge and skills are needed so that they are able to make the learning process active and create an atmosphere of innovative, creative, and fun learning. To become a professional teacher requires education and training as well as special education. In accordance with the change in the educational paradigm so that there has been a change in the role of the teacher, which was only as a conveyor or transfer of knowledge and skills (transfer of knowledge), and is the only source of learning, has changed to become a guide, coach, teacher, and coach. In learning activities, the teacher acts more as a facilitator who is familiar with full responsibility, and treats students as partners in exploring and processing information towards the planned teaching and learning objectives. Teachers in carrying out their professional duties are faced with various choices, looking for the most appropriate alternative ways such as what learning materials are most suitable, how to present the most effective methods, what tools are most suitable, what steps are the most efficient, which learning resources are the most complete, what evaluation system is most appropriate, and so on. Teachers are given the flexibility to manage learning, and must be able to make choices by considering all aspects that are relevant or support the achievement of goals. In this case the teacher acts as a decision maker, therefore mentally must be prepared and improved professionally. What is meant by professionalism here is the ability and professional skills of teachers starting from the planning stage, the process, and the evaluation of student learning outcomes. The word "learning" is a translation of instruction, which is widely used in the world of education. This term is heavily influenced by the school of holistic cognitive psychology, which places students as the source of activities. In addition, this term is also influenced by technological developments which assume that students learning everything can be facilitated by using various media, such as printed materials, internet, television, pictures, audio, etc., all of which encourage a change in the role of the teacher. In managing the teaching and learning process, from the teacher as a learning resource to being a teacher as a facilitator in teaching and learning. This is as expressed by Gagne (1992: 3), which states that "Instruction is a set of events that effect learners in such a way that learning is facilitated." Therefore, according to Gagne, teaching is part of learning, with the consequence that the role of the teacher is more emphasized on how to design various resources and facilities available for students to use or use in learning something. Innovative learning is learning that is packaged by learners on the encouragement of new ideas which are the product of learning how to learn to take learning steps, so as to obtain progress in learning outcomes. In the context of teaching and learning programs, innovative learning programs can mean programs created as an effort to find solutions to a problem. That is because the learning program has never been carried out or a similar learning program is being implemented but needs improvement. Learning programs that improve previous unsatisfactory learning programs, the results can be classified as innovative because they try to solve unsolved problems. Broadly speaking, innovative learning programs are learning programs that directly solve problems being faced by the class based on class conditions. The advantages of innovative learning are as follows: 1. Train students to design an invention. 2. Think and act creatively. 3. Realistically solve the problem at hand 4. Identify and conduct investigations. 5. Interpret and evaluate observations. 6. Stimulate the development of students' thinking progress to solve the problems faced appropriately. 7. Can make school education more relevant to life, especially the world of work.
