Literacy With assistance, students will write the

We will be reading books that go along with
our theme. In leveled literacy centers we are
focusing on 1:1 match of words when
tracking. We are also reviewing sight words.
In phonics we will learn/review the sounds
of letters
Sight Words: we, am (you, at, was, it, can,
see, is, to, I, like, the, my, can)
beginning sounds they hear in a word.
Students should use the word wall to help
spell words they can read. We are doing
many activities sounding out CVC words.
Hatt, dog, bed, kid, cut are examples of
consonant, vowel, consonant words.

Theme- Fall and 50th day of school

This week we will be thinking about our favorite
Fall activities. We will have a small celebration
Math for the 50th day of school.
This week we will continue to learn about
addition and subtraction. We will use objects
to tell stories that require addition or
subtraction. Students will also begin to
categorize objects by similar attributes.

Suggested homework: Use the materials sent home to keep a nightly writing journal. The
loose leaf paper is a great way to practice proper letter and number formation.
