Literacy Theme- Insects

We continue to practice reading leveled books This week will focus on butterflies. We have
during small group instruction. This week we are caterpillars that will hopefully form their
reviewing long vowel sounds. chrysalis over the weekend.

We will continue to sing sight word songs which

can be found in our google classroom.
Students will practice reading words by
sounding/tapping them out. They will also
practice writing these words.

Math
Students will continue to work on learning place
value. We will discuss how a 2-digit number
represents amounts of tens and ones. We will
also review measurements.
Writing
We are working on becoming independent
writers. Students have the skills to sound out
challenging words. We are working on building
confidence to do so.
