For design #1 you'll need to make four legs and two supports.
The legs attached to the supports with 1/4" dowels. Drill 1/2" deep
into the four legs and drill 1/2" deep into the ends of the supports
to add 1" long dowels. This will hold planters up to 6 3/4" wide.

For design #2 you'll make one of the large pieces and
two of the small pieces. The large piece has a 3/4" dado
down the middle at 1/4" deep to hold the two smaller
pieces.

For design #3 you'll need to make four legs, four supports and

one center piece. As long as you are gluing long-grain to long-
grain no reinforcements in the joints are needed. This will hold
planters up to 6 3/4" wide.
