1. Cuando ‘other’ funciona como adjetivo, al igual que todos los adjetivos sin excepción, no
varía su forma. Solo admite la forma plural cuando actúa como pronombre.

Where are the other photos?.


Please, tell the others that I’ll be late.

2. La forma ‘another’ es el resultado de añadir a ‘other’ el artículo indeterminado ‘a’ (en este
caso ‘an’, por comenzar la palabra siguiente por vocal).

Another = an + other.

Cuando hablemos de otro indeterminado, habremos de utilizar esta forma.


Ejemplo: I don’t like this shirt. Show me another. (No me gusta esta camisa.
Enséñame otra (=otra cualquiera).
Al no existir el plural del artículo indeterminado, en plural se utiliza igualmente ‘others’ o
‘other’.

3. La expresión one another es semejante a each other.


They didn’t dare to look at one another / each other. (No se atrevían a mirarse el uno
al otro).
