AMETank version 14.3

Design Calculation Updates

1. Added the frangible roof calculation to the EN-14015 models.
2. Roof nozzles re-pad calculation has been updated for the structurally supported roof to use the
roof plates' required thickness based on the supporting rafters' actual spacing.
3. Materials Updates:
a. Added the materials API-SPEC-5L-A, API-SPEC-5L-B, and API-SPEC-5L-X42 to the
standard materials database.
b. Added EN-10025-S235JR to the bolt materials options list.
4. Added the material properties and allowable stresses of all the design components to the user
interface.
5. When the EN-1993-1-1 (Eurocode) standard is applied, the allowable stresses are by default for
the LFRD design method, which is applicable for EN-14015 roof structure design. For structural
components other than the roof structure (agitator bridge, floating roof, etc.), the allowable
stresses have been updated as per the ASD method.
6. Inner/outer rings for the structurally supported roof without columns have been updated to
consider the LFRD design when using the EN-1993-1-1 (Eurocode) standard.
7. API-650 roof nozzles required thickness has been updated per API-650 F.2.4 when applicable for
high internal pressure. The required thickness, in this case, is the same as for the shell nozzles.
8. Ni, the impulsive hoop membrane force in the tank shell was still per API-650 12th Edition
Add-3. It has been revised per API-650 13th Edition Section E.6.1.4.
9. The user interface for the rafter's shell clips has been updated to show the rafter load on the clip,
bolt allowable shear strength, and bolts required quantity.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Updates

Finite Element Analysis Results Visualization
