Introduction

The Annual Language Competition (ALC) is a bilingual, inter-school competition which

invites students as participants from around Indonesia to exhibit their talents and
communication skills through multiple competition, such as English speech, SBR Talks,
poetry reading competition (membaca puisi), storytelling (mendongeng), public
service advertisement (iklan layanan masyarakat), and short story writing competition
(menulis cerpen). These competitions aim to stimulate students during school from
home, so that they can improve and exhibit their talents during a pandemic, and at the
same time feel optimistic that this pandemic is going to end soon. Sekolah Bogor Raya
has held the competition six times and we proudly present it in the 2021 edition. We
are so pleased to hold the competition once again in both English and Bahasa
Indonesia through more activities/events. At SBR, we believe that having a firm grasp
on both native tongue, Bahasa Indonesia and English, helps promote effective
communication in our journey to reach our dreams.

Pandemic: This Too Shall Pass

Open registration : October 2, 2021

Deadline submission product : October 27, 2021
Judges Assessment : October 28 - November 2, 2021
Closing/ awarding ceremony : November 5, 2021 ( 2.30 - 3.30 PM)

Venue

This event is going to be held online. The closing/ awarding ceremony will be done in a
webinar format in ZOOM.
Participants
We would like to extend invitations for this event to the schools not only in the
surrounding Jabodetabek area, but to schools from all around Indonesia who also share
the same desire to encourage student growth and community through the power of
language and communication. This event is open to all students in grades 7-12
(SMP-SMA).
