Evaluate the effectiveness of the introduction and body

 Introduction

The instruction of the speech made by Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago used a light
joke and a little story time. She first used the weather and the traffic as a joke and then the
patron of the audience to connect with them. She made jokes with Juan and Pedro as her
characters and questions and answers about politics. The method that the Senator used was
indeed effective because she was one with the audience and relatable. She made the
atmosphere lightweight with her wit.
 Body

also used comparisons. She always acknowledged the presence of her audience by
mentioning its campus, patron, and values. The Senator uses their spiritual and religious
beliefs to connect with them and guide them to the lights of her ideas. She still makes quick
remarks to make sure her audience laughs and is not bored with her speech. Even with all
this, she still flawlessly infused her plans as a candidate for the presidency.
